Setting up programs for customers to redeem points for rewards such as product discount codes, and shipping fee discount codes.
Click the 'Add ways to use points' button to choose how to convert points into rewards for customers.
There are 3 methods to convert points into rewards as shown in the image:
1. Amount discount
Exchange points for a discount code to deduct a fixed amount based on the total order value. (Different from the Percentage off method which deducts by percentage of the total bill)
Points redemption style:
There are 2 methods to redeem points:
- Fixed amount of points
Enter the points needed for redemption in 'Points cost', and the corresponding discount value in 'Discount value'.
As shown in figure 1, 100 points will be exchanged for a $1 discount code, directly deducted from the total product invoice.
- Increments of points:
Enter the points in 'Customer redeems increment of' and the corresponding discount value in 'Customer gets'.
As illustrated in figure 2, suppose a customer has 1250 points, they can redeem for a discount code with a value obtained by dividing 1250 by 100, thus getting a discount code worth $12, with 50 points remaining.
You can limit the number of customers who can redeem this reward by:
- Setting a minimum point condition for a customer to be eligible for redemption.
- Setting the maximum points a customer can redeem for this reward.
As in figure 3, we set the condition that customers must have a minimum of 300 points to be eligible for redemption. And only a maximum of 2000 points can be redeemed at a time.
Discount codes can be applied to 2 types of orders
- Entire order: Applicable to all types of orders
- Specific collection: Applicable to a specific type of product
Setting a minimum order amount condition:
- None: Code applies to all orders - Minimum purchase amount: Code only applies to orders reaching a minimum value
Adding a prefix to discount code:
You can add a prefix to your discount codes, depending on your management purposes.
Enter the prefix for the discount code in the 'Discount code' section.
For example, as shown in figure 5, all discount codes will start with the character string 'W123'.
Setting an expiry date for discount code:
- There are 3 options for the expiry date of the discount code:
- Unlimited (if 'Reward expiry' option is unchecked).
- 3 months.
- 1 years.
After setting up the parameters for the program, click 'Active' and 'Create' again to activate the program.
2. Percentage off
Description: The Percentage off method subtracts a percentage from the total bill.
As illustrated, 100 points will exchange for a 3% discount code, deducted from the order value.
Other settings are similar to 'Amount discount'.
3. Free shipping

Enter the corresponding points cost in 'Points cost'.
Enter the value for the maximum shipping fee of the order, to which the code can be applied.
As shown, 100 points will exchange for a discount code for shipping costs.
